With the World Figure Skating Championships happening at this moment in Boston, USA, Boston Globe staff writer Shira Springer takes a look at how the judging/scoring system works in this artistic sport.
After controversy and downright scandals at the Olympic Games, the sport's governing body, the International Skating Union (ISU), opted for a new judging system that was to be less corruptible and more objective.
