The doors at the Municipal Sports Hall in Sant Cugat, ESP, are about to open, and the DO World DanceSport should get underway at 13:30 with an IDSF Rising Star Standard.

Over five days, through Easter Monday, some 1,500 dancers from around the world compete in Latin and Standard, in Wheelchair DanceSport and in HipHop events. DO World DanceSport is certainly a standout among all IDSF competitions, as it traditionally packs enormous diversity into its compact schedule. By doing so it takes up on the spirit of VISION 2012, promoting the unified sport under a single brand that is envisioned by IDSF.

This year, young athletes compete for world and continental titles in Ten Dance and Latin. IDSF Communications will report on "Live from Sant Cugat" blogs about the 2011 World Junior Ten Dance (22 April) and the 2011 European Youth Latin (23 April).
