The World DanceSport Federation is very proud of having highly successful and charismatic dancers who are able to make it onto the podium of the "IWGA Athlete of the Year" poll every time. After Nino Langella and Khrystyna Moshenska, ITA, ended up in third last year, Dmitry Zharkov and Olga Kulikova, RUS, claimed the same place in the online election that concluded on Sunday 31 January 2016. They did so with 7,722 votes that were cast for them by fellow dancers from around the world.
To all those who have gone to the theworldgames.org website numerous times over the past month, who proved that they were not a robot prior to clicking the vote button as much as it was possible, WDSF says: "Thanks, guys!"
And to netballer Mwai Kumwenda, MAW, with 17,910 votes the winner of the poll for 2015, we say: "Well done!"
