Some Comments

"I (and a lot of others dancers) think that DanceSport has many features that can make it a success on television: attractive people, nice dresses, decisions by adjudicators leading to controversy …"

"I've never watched a TV programme about DanceSport. When I saw so many talented couples for 2 hours, I enjoyed it very, very, very much."

"I guess the producer was compressing it to have both Latin and Grand Slam competitions during the 2 hours. But this has an effect on the overall quality of the programme."

"I don't want to look at only their top, but also at their feet ... But not only the feet because that does not give a decent impression of the movement."

"I get the feeling that camera operators have to know more about our sport/art. It's not fancy camera work that will sell DanceSport."

"Music sound quality is really great at the big expense of the sound in the hall. It's the kind of thing that disconnects the event from the viewer. You don't hear the work that's being put in by the couples and by the audience. It's like watching a mute recording where then the correct music is put over. Really loses a lot of the feeling of being there."

About the Commentary

The bigger picture! "If it was a dancer, this was not so good. If not, why is there no professional appointed by WDSF to help the broadcaster provide correct comments over the dance like it was before when dance was on Eurosport?"

"You need experts to explain to laymen what we are doing and why, only then will they understand."
