RDSU Shares Top Billing

The ceremony showcased Russian ballet, with performances by Diana Vishneva, the star soloist with the Mariinsky Ballet, by Svetlana Zakharova, a principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet; and by Ivan Vasiliev, now with the American Ballet Theater.

In one scene, the stars enacted the famous ballroom scene from Tolstoy’s “War and Peace,” and Mr. Vasiliev drew gasps with his signature gravity-defying leaps.
