The mobile version of the WDSF website became available on 31 July for the benefit of an increasing number of visitors who regularly access worlddancesport.org on the move, from mobile devices of the varied kind.

The URL for the mobile version https://m.worlddancesport.org
gets close to 20% of the overall site traffic already.

Regardless whether called up from an iPhone, IPad or Android phones or tablets, whatever, the site with its streamlined menu allows users to navigate with great ease around the key sections such as results, calendar, news, blogs, etc.

While it is not a full-fledged application (Yet! That is still in the pipelines ...), the reformatted site is state-of-the-art and comprehensive already. Users may even place an icon on their home screens.




Unfortunately, the month of July also showed some of the downsides of certain information becoming readily available to everyone. Even to those who under the cover of anonimity have nothing other on their mind than to insult the organisation that publishes it and - what is even worse - the athletes and adjudicators who generate it.   

The "Live from Chengdu" blog was a resounding success. But It also demonstrated that the type of interactivity WDSF Communications had in mind for its blogs is not (yet) achievable.
