Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll makes its third appearance as a medal event at The World Games in Wroclaw, Poland. The last time it was contested was at The World Games 2009 Kaohsiung in Taiwan. The winners then were Christophe Payan - Kathy Richetta, FRA. In fifth place was a couple from Poland, Jacek Tarczylo - Anna Miadzielec, who had won the World Championship in 2011 and was considered as one of the favourites at the time.

Now, eight years later, Jacek and Anna have added another three World Champion titles and, even after taking one-year sabbatical in 2015, have been considered the measure of things in every international competition they have entered. It goes without saying, this time they are the top contenders for World Games gold.

The World Rock 'n' Roll Confederation's drive to bring new countries to the discipline has paid off: among the 14 nations entering athletes in Wroclaw are Australia, Indonesia, Peru and Senegal. All four first-timers!
