DanceSport in Japan
Keiji Ukai, IDSF Presidium Member and an Executive Director of the Japan DanceSport Federation (JDSF), reported recently about the renewal of the governmental recognition for DanceSport in Japan.
JDSF, DanceSport's national governing body, was one of the first applicants that met all the criteria for continued recognition by the Japanese government, as well as that by the Japan Sports Association and the Japanese Olympic Committee.
IDSF President Carlos Freitag congratulated JDSF and Keiji Ukai on getting the formal recognition renewed.
In this context, IDSF urges all visitors to worlddancesport.org to express their solidarity with the people affected by earthquake, tsunami and nuclear fall-out in Japan, and to donate to the Japanese Red Cross Society (here) relief efforts.
