DanceSport at the London Olympia

FULFIL YOUR HIGHEST AMBITIONS

Being at the Olympia in London is – unfortunately – not quite synonymous with DanceSport reaching its ultimate goal. All those expecting to read about a last-minute decision to have DanceSport added to the programme of the 2012 Olympics held in same city are probably disappointed - all over again.

But then, being visible at the London Olympia exhibition centre during this year’s edition of MOVE IT might just be be another step in the right direction. MOVE IT is the United Kingdom’s biggest dance event. It gathers well over 20’000 (mostly young) people and allows them to create their own “day of dance” through live performances as well as dance classes.

MOVE IT!

Particularly in a country where dance is the second most popular physical activity to football (source Youth Dance England), DanceSport can ill afford to miss out on being at the Olympia for MOVE IT. In this edition, the sporting side of dance will feature more prominently than ever before.

IDSF is proud to provide support to its National Member Body in England in promoting DanceSport to the attendees of MOVE IT. DanceSport England – under its EADA brand – is an exhibitor and, for the first time, the official Ballroom Partner of the event.

“… We introduce our new MOVE IT Ballroom. In typical MOVE IT style, it’s a ballroom with a twist, featuring exciting and unexpected classes that will encourage you to grab a partner and take to the floor. Think vintage style moves, sensual tango, Latin beats, swinging lindy hop and acrobatic rock & roll …”
