'Amber Couple'
45th „AMBER COUPLE“ in Kaunas, LithuaniaThere are some competitions in the calendar , you can find regularly every year and this for a very long period. One of these is the IDSF Ranking Competition “AMBER COUPLE” in Kaunas , organized by Jurate and Cheslovas Norvaisha and their team. It`s name “Amber” was given because of the well known piece of jewellery originated from fossil resin especially in this area.
This event is organized since 45 years, therfore Jurate and Cheslovas Norvaisha were honoured by the Lord Major of Kaunas for their work and developing DanceSport in their country.
In a brochure which gave a retrospection to the beginning of “Amber Couple”, you could find well known names of former World Champions, nowadays trainers and officials, who have taken part in this competition.
Two IDSF International Open Standard and Latin took place with an entry of over 70 couples in each section. The Sunday evening Gala was the very highlight of this weekend. Enthusiastic audience, fan groups,
very good couples and a show program : Victor da Silva and Hanna Kartunen performed in 3 different choroeographies, a Wheelchair couple from BLR Hanna Harchakova and Igor Kiseliou did a breathtaking showdance as well as the popular Latin couple from Lithuania
Justas Kucinskas and Ekatarina Romankova, followed by the Lithuanian Champion Donatas Vezelis and Lina Chatkeviciute.
