2016 GrandSlam Helsinki

Just one more week before the GrandSlam Series 2016 gets underway at the Messukeskus Expo and Convention Centre in Helsinki, FIN. Almost three months have gone by since the 2015 GrandSlam Finals were danced in Shanghai, CHN. Quite a long wait for the DanceSport enthusiasts to see all of the world's best dancers back in action - all on the same floor!

And that is precisely the view the 2016 GrandSlam Helsinki promises to offer on 5 and 6 March. Virtually all of the couples making up the current top 20 in both the Latin and the Standard World Rankings should be present when the Dave Benson Band starts playing during the decisive stages of GrandSlam. And maybe some surprises will be in store, too, as new couples have formed recently and will make their first big outing in Helsinki. One of these couples is Andrey Gusev - Vera Bondareva, RUS. Vera, as we should all remember well, won here last year together with her former partner Nino Langella.
