WDSF Sports Director Marco Sietas wishes to remind the Senior I, II and III couples that the deadline for entering the 2011 European Masters Games is just around the corner.

The registration fee of 120 € must be paid by this date. What appears a rather stiff fee for a DanceSport competition does include a full package of privileges and services associated with the games in Lignano, ITA.

The 2011 European Masters Games start on Saturday 10 September 2011 and end on Tuesday 20 September. The DanceSport competitions take place on 17 and 18 September. The venue is the Municipal Gymnasium, Viale Europa, 142 in Lignano Sabbiadoro. The following events will be contested: Standard Senior I, Senior II, Senior III - Latin Senior I, Senior II

DanceSport's premiere in Masters Games promises to be an unqualified success. The World DanceSport Federation became a member of the International Masters Games Association in 2010. Through this membership, Senior I, II and III couples are now entitled to enter what is the Olympiad of the mature athletes.

The European Masters Games in Lignano, ITA, are a showcase for all Senior couples within WDSF and their first step on the way to the World Masters Games in 2013.

Meet "COKI," here depicted as a dancer! The official mascot of the 2011 European Masters Games in Lignano is a seagull. These birds have always been representative of the seaside resort, and they symbolise the free spirit that will prevail during the games.
