Olympic Breaking Paris 2024: B-Boys' Journey to Gold

The Olympic Breaking competition in Paris 2024 saw an intense Round Robin stage, where the world's top B-Boys battled for a place in the quarterfinals. After fierce competition, eight athletes from the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, Canada, France, and Kazakhstan advanced to the next round.

B-Boys Quarterfinals

The remaining eight athletes continued their quest for gold in the first ever Olympic men's Breaking event.

B-Boys Quarterfinals 1:

B-Boys Quarterfinals 2:

  • Advanced: VICTOR (USA)
  • Eliminated: AMIR (KAZ)

B-Boys Quarterfinals 3:

B-Boys Quarterfinals 4:

  • Advanced: PHIL WIZARD (CAN)
  • Eliminated: LEE (NED)

B-Boys Semifinals

The four strongest athletes of the competition picked up in the semis where they left off in the earlier rounds. Victories by DANY DANN and PHIL WIZARD followed their dominant performances in the quarterfinals.

B-Boys Semifinals 2
PHIL WIZARD, one of the world’s most dynamic breakers, swept aside SHIGEKIX from Japan in the second semifinal by winning all three rounds.

B-Boys Bronze Medal Battle
The finals were accompanied by classic Hip Hop, which was an amazing choice. Both B-Boys were absolutely outstanding and received a fair share of love from the sold-out crowd assembled at the Place de la Concorde, but in the end, it was B-Boy VICTOR who took home the Bronze.

B-Boys Gold Medal Battle
Canada’s PHIL WIZARD showed the magic that has made him a massive force in Breaking, becoming the first-ever Olympic B-Boy champion! Dany Dann also made history by claiming the Silver.
