Wuxi, China – July 19, 2024 – The second day of the WDSF Asian DanceSport Festival 2024 in Wuxi, People's Republic of China, continued to enthrall audiences on yesterday, July 18th, showcasing even more exceptional performances and electrifying competition. Building upon the momentum of the opening day, it further solidified the event as a platform for extraordinary talent and unwavering dedication from dancers across the globe.

The day unfolded with a captivating display of talent across seven distinct dance competitions. The World Championship Standard Youth was a particular highlight, showcasing the remarkable dedication and passion that young dancers bring to the discipline. Throughout the morning, 57 couples from 33 countries and regions mesmerized the audience with their artistry. The culmination of this dazzling display arrived in the final rounds, where 12 couples vied for the coveted title.

WDSF President Expresses Admiration for Global Participation

WDSF President Shawn Tay addressed the event, expressing his appreciation:

We are honored to have such a talented group of athletes travel from all corners of the world to participate in this esteemed event, particularly the WDSF World Championships. WDSF Open Solo Latin Juvenile I:

  • 1st Place: Zitong Zhu (CHN)
  • 2nd Place: Xinyi Jin (CHN)
  • 3rd Place: Yichen Zhu (CHN)

WDSF Open Latin Junior II:

  • 1st Place: Artem Crivenco / Sofiya Malik (MDA)
  • 2nd Place: Junhao Guo / Zihan Wang (CHN)
  • 3rd Place: Ilya Hulmantovich / Lyaisan Rizvanova (WDSF)

WDSF Open Solo Standard Juvenile I:
