The elections to the one-year term of office were conducted by the Chair of the WDSF Disciplinary Council, Daniel Stehlin, and carried out by secret ballot. All three candidates stood unopposed and were voted in with overwhelming majorities.
Unfortunately, Tommy Shaughnessy was not able to be present for his election as a new member of the WDSF Presidium due to the death of his mother. In a letter that he sent to the attention of the General Meeting he declared that he would accept his election. "I will serve to the best of my abilities," he pledged.
