Vladimir Karpov - Maria Tzaptashvilli, RUS, have also decided to end their careers in "amateur" and to turn professionals with the start of the new year.

Their inaugural competition was the 2013 WDSF PD European Latin in Moscow, RUS. In the superbly danced final at the Crocus Expo, Vladimir and Maria ended up in third place in their first outing as professionals.

Their last title win as "amateurs" dates back to September 2012, when they performed a very moving routine in the World Freestyle Latin in Beijing, CHN.

The World DanceSport Federation thanks Vladimir and Maria for their loyalty and whishes them good luck and success in their future endeavours on and off the floor.

Again, we are including some of the outstanding photographs that Elena Anashina took during Saturday's PD European Championship.
