Profile

Vee, a dynamic force in the dance community, seamlessly blends her unique style and extensive experience to inspire and uplift dancers from the streets to the stage. Originating from Cape Town, South Africa, Vee's professional journey took flight after her return from dance studies in New York in 2009. Known as "Bgirl Vee," she has collaborated with numerous artists, contributed choreography to television commercials, and featured in international films. Her deep-rooted knowledge of Hip Hop culture, enriched by training with dance originators in New York, continues to inform her approach to various street dance styles.
As the Founder of The Rhythm Factory Dance School, Vee has dedicated the last nine years to nurturing talent and fostering creativity within the Hip Hop community, helping students develop their own unique voices. In March 2021, she launched The Breaking Factory, a dedicated space for aspiring dancers to hone their skills in Breaking.

Vee is also the visionary behind Ladies Collective South Africa, a nonprofit organization that empowers women through art. She hosts free  workshops designed to uplift and support women in dance, creating a nurturing environment for growth and expression.

Vee, a proud alumna of Moptop Universal from 2022, is dedicated to continuous learning from the pioneers of dance in New York. Her journey in the dance world includes representing South Africa as one of the first and only two women at the WeBgirlz, Battle Of the Year in France in 2012, Her first love is Breaking, and she remains deeply connected to the culture through teaching, supporting community jams, and judging competitions both locally and internationally. As the only qualified female Breaking Olympic judge on the African continent, Vee's influence transcends borders, having traveled extensively over the past two years to engage in high-caliber dance events.

Looking ahead, Vee aims to bridge the gap in Cape Town by hosting more quality dance events and creating opportunities for local dancers to travel and compete internationally. She envisions a vibrant future for the dance community, fostering growth and connection on a global scale.
