Wanted: Candidates

The WDSF Athletes Commission is looking for candidates in the election of a Professional Division representative.

The WDSF Athletes Commission (AC) is a permanent commission that consists of athletes who are elected by their peers. The AC represents the interest of the dancers, advises the Presidium on matters that are relevant to the athletes and works to improve the communication between the Presidium and the dancers.

After a 4-year term our current PD representative Mr Paolo Bosco has decided not to stand for re-election. The WDSF AC has received the following nominations to date:

• Lina Chatkaviciute

• Vitaly Panteleev

• Angelina Nechkhaeva

• Evgeny Stepanov

• Alexandra Pakhmutove

• Claudia Koehler

Any other active PD athlete may also submit his or her nomination. Everybody is welcome! Please submit your candidacy with a resume and your motivation to the following e-mail address by 30 November 2014, 17:00 CET: [email protected].

According to our Operating Policy the elections will be held at the following two Championships:

• World Championship PD Latin on 13 December 2014;

• European Championship PD Standard on 14 February 2015;

One athlete will be chosen from the accepted candidates.

We understand that not all active athletes may participate in either of these championships, especially the athletes from outside of Europe. As every athlete has a right to vote once, please send us an e-mail if you wish to exercise your right.
