WDSF Athletes' Commission Chair 20/06/2012

Zoran Plohl, SLO

Zoran Plohl serves as the new chairman of the WDSF Athletes' Commission from 1 July 2012. From that date, he will also assume his role as an ex officio member on the WDSF Presidium. He succeeds Timo Kulcak, GER, in both positions.

Zoran has had a banner year in 2011, claiming the title in the World and European Championships Latin together with partner Tatsiana Lahvinovich. In December, the couple announced that they would continue their carrer in the Professional Division (here), and only recently they confirmed that they would dance for Slovenia once more.

Zoran addressed the General Meeting in Berlin, outlining his short-term plans to increase the commission's activities further. Athletes' Forums will be held during the 2012 GOC in Stuttgart, GER, and at least one other occasion in 2012. The WDSF Athletes' Commission's website will be reactivated to improve communications and provide a platform for discussions.
