05/05/2024 read more ...Vienna (AUT) hosts one of the highlights of the DanceSport year, the 2019 WDSF World Championship Youth Latin at Multiversum Schwechat on Saturday. The event in Vienna, which has the 26th consecutive year running, has been highlighted with many championships before, and this year makes no exception. 79 couples have been nominated by the WDSF National Member Bodies to test their skills and to pursue good rankings with their fellow couples, world's best representatives of the Youth age group.
In addition to the World Championship, Vienna also hosts a WDSF World Open New Series with 85 couples in Latin and 82 couples in Standard, and many WDSF Open competitions for all age groups from Juveniles to Senior III.
The second event of the week, in Kaunas, has even longer traditions, as it is one of the oldest DanceSport events in Lithuania. The event is growing very fast and this year the event includes WDSF World Open New Series Standard with 60 couples and WDSF International Open Latin with 52 couples together with 13 other WDSF competitions and many local competitions. Age range varies between 4-5-years old beginners to the most experienced Senior IV couples aged 60+.
