FDSARR 02/05/2018

Russia's Back! © FDSARR The World DanceSport Federation communicated the Presidium's decision to up the status to full member in writing to the President of the All Russian Federation of DanceSport and Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll (FDSARR), Ms Nadezhda Erastova, on 28 April.

After it had examined the certified copies of official legal registration of the changes to the FDSARR Constitution and other governing documents thoroughly, the WDSF Presidium resolved to grant full membership under Articles 4 and 5 of the WDSF Statutes. Furthermore, the Presidium invited the 2018 WDSF AGM to ratify its grant, as a fitting close to this most recent chapter in WDSF’s long relationship with Russian DanceSport.

Over the course of the past ten months and as a provisional member of WDSF, FDSARR has been exceptionally active as an organiser of memorable events. One only has to think back to the revamped Open Russian Championships and GrandSlam in 2017 - or the top international championships/competitions held this year in Sochi, Chernyabinsk and Moscow.

FDSARR President Nadezhda Erastova wrote back to WDSF President Lukas Hinder on 29 April.

It is a victorious day for Russian DanceSport which coincides with the International Dance Day celebrated today worldwide. Considerable efforts were invested over the past year to prove that Russian DanceSport shall be a good member and a reliable partner to WDSF.
