The WDSF Athletes' Commission (AC) is a permanent commission of the WDSF Presidium that consists of athletes who are elected solely by other WDSF athletes.
The AC represents the interest of the athletes, advises the Presidium on matters that are relevant to the athletes, and works towards improving the communication between the Presidium and the athletes.
The 4-year term of our current European representative, Ms. Ashli Williamson, has concluded. As a consequence, all athletes from the European countries dancing in the Adult age category may now volunteer or be nominated as candidates. One of the candidates approved by the Commission as qualified under the WDSF Athletes' Commission's Operating Policy will be elected to serve a 4-year term as a member of the commission. Any active athlete in the Adult Division who resides in Europe may submit his or her candidacy together with a resume and reasons or statement for candidacy, to the following e-mail address by 16 January 2016, 17:00 CET: [email protected]
Ashli Williamson has volunteered as a candidate. We will be conducting a combined election with both an in-person election at the WDSF European Championship Ten Dance in Copenhagen on 20 February 2016, and parallel electronic elections from 1 February 2016 up to and including 19 February 2016. Further instructions on the electronic voting will be issued once the candidates are known. One of the accepted candidates will be elected. Please send us your nominations! Many thanks.
