CEO Jean-Laurent Bourquin

After the 2016 General Meeting had approved the budgetary allocations to establish new headquarters in the Olympic capital Lausanne, the WDSF Presidium defined a new management structure by creating the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Then the Presidium members unanimously agreed to appoint Mr Jean-Laurent Bourquin as the first CEO. Jean-Laurent had previously been an adviser to DanceSport’s governing body and contributed with his expertise to the WDSF 2020 VISION process.

Jean-Laurent had different responsibilities within the International Olympic Committee over 17 years prior to starting his own sports consultancy firm, AdviSport.
