Brno (CZE) Open 2009 10/04/2009

Avatar 642 couples entered the successful Brno Open over the three days. The seventh edition thus established a new participation record. Organisers and sponsors had prepared an outstanding event for all IDSF and IPDSC categories.

Each day focused on a different segment of the audience: Friday – Seniors' Night, Saturday – Champions' Night and Sunday – Dance Lovers' Party. All three days brought something new and different to the spectators. The shows of World Champions Paolo Bosco – Silvia Piton (ITA) and Maurizio Vescovo – Melinda Törökgyörgy (HUN) were the absolute highlight and also broadcast live on national television. Brno was able to welcome eight World Champions among the couples as well as judges. The funniest thing: Frank Venables became the most popular showman with his Mambo show.
