Gabriele Goffredo - Anna Matus © Roland Again, it was not meant to be: after Jefferson Benjumea - Adriana Avila, COL, Aniello Langella - Khrystyna Moshenska, ITA, and Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova, RUS, the DanceSport representatives in the 2016 edition for the IWGA Athlete of the Year" didn't make it to the top of the poll either. Gabriele Goffredo and Anna Matus, MDA, finished a very honourable fourth and received an unexpected mention on the IWGA website as the "best team."  


The DanceSport community congratulates the winner, the representative of Muaythai, Sofia Olofsson, SWE, and pledges to be back with vigour next time dancers will be on the ballot.
