2011 Grand Slam Seoul, KOR 02/05/2011

Many of the couples who made it to Seoul for the Grand Slam Standard leg were in Tokyo too, when the earthquake struck there on 11 March. This time, 59 entries from 12 countries were able to dance the first round.

The results of the final were once more established on the basis of the new IDSF Judging System, with its particular emphasis on solo dances and the five programme components scored with an absolute value between 0 and 10 points.

The standings of the top three finishers were identical to those in the 2010 World Standard in Latin, judged with the traditional skating system, but this time with a point score attached.

Benedetto Ferruggia - Claudia Koehler

One of the windfalls of the new IDSF Judging System - the fact that all dances are recorded for their evaluation by the panel of Adjudicators - allows you to look at the performances and analyse the entire judging process in-depth.
