WDSF announces GrandSlam Series dates and locations for 2023

WDSF GrandSlam 2024

Mark your calendars: Four World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) GrandSlam events in Latin and Standard have been confirmed for 2023.

The first three GrandSlams will be open to all participants, with the GrandSlam final in
December being invitation only for 12  Standard and 12 Latin couples based on the number of points earned at the first three competitions.

The dates and locations of the four competitions are as follows:

Wuxi is new to the GrandSlam circuit this year. The city of roughly 7.5 million inhabitants in Eastern China has long been known as hub of cultural and artistic activity. Also, an economic powerhouse in the region, Wuxi is home to a remarkable number of world-class sports and entertainment venues.

“We are confident that all the dancers and officials who visit Wuxi will be impressed by the extremely high standards of the competition venues and their accommodation,” says WDSF President Shawn Tay. “Having visited them all myself I am happy to report that the facilities not only tick all our boxes, in  many cases they far exceed them.”

We hope these events will provide a boost to our counterparts in Asia, as the region’s DanceSport
communities continue to find their footing again following the difficulties of the COVID pandemic.
The WDSF GrandSlam Series features Standard and Latin competitions of the highest levels and
feature the best DanceSport athletes from around the world.
