Training Trainers

Joan Cayuela, who had again been dispatched there as a lecturer by the WDSF Membership Commission, held a four-day course for trainers in Brazil.

He reports that 30 trainers from all corners of the country attended the Level I Standard Course and learned with great enthusiasm basic figures and the methodology required to prepare their athletes for competition.

"Our sport is developing well in a country full of very passionate people - where music and dance are omnipresent," says Cayuela. "The National Member Body, the Conselho Nacional de Dança Desportiva e de Salao, will shortly be holding its first WDSF Open in Sao Paulo and works with fervor on making it an outstanding success in terms of organisation and sporting value."
