The World Games are held for the ninth time under the auspices of the International World Games Association and, for the third time, under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee.
With 2013 Cali DanceSport makes its fifth appearance in these multi-sport games. A contingent of nearly 160 athletes and officials represent WDSF and their respective countries in Cali, a city taking pride in being considered the "World Capital of Salsa."
What will make the DanceSport events of The World Games 2013 truly excepetional is the setting of where they are held. The "Plaza de Toros Cañaveralejo" - Cali's bullfighting ring in the city centre - will be the venue for, and the appropriate backdrop to, the competitions in Standard, Salsa and Latin.
