The Alarms Go Off

Gustavs Arajs - Katharina Würmer, AUT © Janosch November just wouldn't be the same without it: the recurring World DanceSport Championship taking place in Vienna. Some say that it's like in the movie "Groundhog Day," over and over and over ... Well, this year it's actually a little bit different: two World Championships are staged concurrently with the traditional Austrian Open. The World Latin on Saturday 21 and the Professional Division World Standard Showdance on Sunday 22!

The WDSF Communications team will be on location in full force from Friday 20 November and report on both championships through the "Live from Vienna" blog! The organisers have already started with their pre-Austrian Open coverage on the OETSV website. What do 2,500 cans of hairspray, 70 adjudicators and 7,000 spectators have in common? Read up on it here!

Or take our answer for it: they all play an important role in a fire alarm at the Multiversum in Schwechat. The cans cause it and a total of 7,070 people - adjudicators and spectators - react to it by leaving the premises in a hurry.
