The 2023 WDSF GrandSlam Series in Stuttgart (GER)
Securing their second Series win of the year, Alexey Glukhov – Anastasia Glazunova (MDA) enjoyed the event and performed their very best talent in the GrandSlam Standard final. Their successful Series debut of the year in Wuxi in July turned out to be a start for an amazing GrandSlam year, and the hard-training couple was awarded with another firm place on the top of the podium in Stuttgart. The couple was accompanied with Rares Cojoc – Andreea Matei (ROU) on the second step and Dmitri Kolobov – Signe Busk (DEN) on the third step on the podium. Vadim Shurin – Anastasia Meshkova (LAT), Dariusz Mycka – Madara Freiberga (POL) and Yuan Shaoyang – Qi Chongxuan (CHN) ranked from 4th to 6th in respective order.
Professional Division couples had their Super Grand Prix events during the Festival week. Edgars Linis – Eliza Line (LAT) won the breathtaking Standard event. The couple was accompanied with David Odstrcil – Tara Bohak (CZE) and Edgaras Baltaragis – Indre Kucinskaite (LTU) on the podium, ranking second and third in respective order. Andrea Silvestri – Martina Varadi (HUN) repeated their last year’s Stuttgart Super Grand Prix Latin win by dominating the captivating event. Marts Smolko – Tina Bazykina (LAT) made a fantastic comeback to the competition floor and ranked second while Sergiu Maruster – Anastasia Stan (MDA) had their debut at Super Grand Prix and ranked third.
The young siblings Ida-Loviisa Koivunen – Aaron Koivunen (FIN) won the title of World Cup Boogie Woogie Juniors and Stéphanie Arnaud – Stéphane Martins (FRA) World Cup Boogie Woogie Seniors.
