New Standards In Publishing

Simone Segatori - Annette Sudol, GER © hk sportsfinder In a landmark decision, the delegates to the 2016 General Meeting approved a motion presented by the 2020 VISION Working Group to adopt two documents that will forthwith govern WDSF publishing.

After the WDSF Communications team’s work of covering DanceSport and its events in proprietary media had come under  critique in late 2014, the members of the team resolved to establish a set of firm guidelines that would regulate it.

From an early draft of "WDSF Editorial Guidelines" that was presented to the members of the WDSF Presidium in January 2015 evolved a set of quality documents that will govern all aspects of publishing done by order of, on behalf of and for the account of the World DanceSport Federation from 13 June 2016.

The members of the WDSF Communications Commission authored a total of four documents that will be instrumental in ensuring that all future publishing is done consistently with editorial values and rules that are available in the public domain. Two of these documents were adopted by today's General Meeting.
