13 formation teams representing nine nations entered the 2016 World DanceSport Championship Formation Standard that was held on 4 December in Pecs, HUN. Maybe a few teams and countries less than in previous editions, but given the fact that the championship was not awarded to the organisers until late October, that was still a respectable participation.
Maybe Mongolia and its formations were missed most to give it all the Asian touch.
