The media presence at this WDSF World Youth Breaking is considerable. Even on the day prior to the actual championship, there are several ENG crews shooting stories on the now 86 breakers. Aside from the WDSF Communications team with its four members, it is the Olympic Channel that also brought a sizeable crew to the Culttz in Kawasaki.
In highest demand with all the journalists is the Japanese B-Boy Shigekix, who is probably mentioned most often as a possible winner of the championship. He ws first in December's continental YOG qualifier (Asia/Oceania) and has come in first in several other competitions since. Most recently, the Breaking event at the FISE in Hiroshima, JPN.
