Finland Open

Armen Tsaturyan - Svetlana Gudyno, RUS © Roland The Finnish DanceSport Federation celebrates the 40th anniversary of its foundation in 2016. The celebrations of the occasion magically coincide with the final competition day of the Finland Open, the open championships that developed into one of the biggest DanceSport events on the calendar. Held in early March at the biggest venue venue in all of Finland, the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, it draws an ever growing number of couples from all over the world.

This year the Finland Open takes place from 4 to 6 March and - for the second time already - includes the first leg of the WDSF GrandSlam Series. The first two GrandSlam competitions of the year will bring the entire international elite in Latin and Standard to the Finnish capital, the starting point for the long road to the "Final Showdown in Shanghai" in December.

Other competitions are taking place as follows.

4 March

The Finland Open gets underway on Friday with Senior II, III, and IV Latin and Standard, Rising Stars Latin and Standard and several Juvenile class competitions.

5 and 6 March

On Saturday and Sunday couples compete in the WDSF PD Opem, WDSF Youth, Junior I and II Open, Juvenile I and II Standard and Latin.

Online entry for all competitions is open.

Has it really been one year already?
