2nd Transylvanian Grand Prix

After flying to Bucharest we startet a nearly 3 hours drive to Brasov, right in the centre of Romania. We realized Brasov is located in the mountains. We went along winding roads, through dark ancient forests. You really could feel the tale of Bram Stoker. Brasov is a  really very nice old town, proud of its old houses, churches and places inviting guests to have a coffee, relax and  enjoy life. But also industry is growing. The only thing somebody can miss is an airport. But being located right in the mountains, this will probably be the reality for some more years. Nevertheless the governors of the city of Brasov are taking it under consideration and are planning it.

Dancers are enthusiastic ! Nothing is too difficult for them if they really want it. Some of the couples came by car after 10 to 14 hours drive.

Skating hall The Major of Brasov and the "Primaria Municipiului Brasov" are eager to bring important events especially sports events to this area, which most of the Europeans normally know from Dracula's stories. So the organizers of the 2nd Transylvanian Grand Prix, mainly Mircea Gavrila, Monica Gavrila and Ioana Mihalcea, together with Academia de Dans, supported by the Goverment of Brasov and the Romanian DanceSport Federation, could host this event in a new Iceskating Arena "Patinoarul Olimpic".
