The Blog from the GOC! 14/08/2013

Mirko Gozzoli - Edita Daniute, LTU © Roland Day one of the traditional German Open Championships saw the first hard fought battles take place on the floor of the Beethoven Hall in Stuttgart, GER.

In the final stages of the WDSF PD Super Grand Prix Standard some - including the Chairman - considered that the fighting was almost too rough and tumble ... The reprimands seemed in order and reminded everyone that DanceSport should be noble above all.

If you missed the action last night, you are able relive virtually the entire  Super Grand Prix Standard on the "Live from Stuttgart" blog.

Tomorrow it's the Super Grand Prix Latin that will certainly be marked by the absence of one couple. Zoran Plohl - Tatsiana Lahvinovich, SLO, announced their retirement from competition after a moving show performance last night.

The pan-European and pan-Asian sports network EUROSPORT airs the semi-finals and finals of the two WDSF GrandSlam events in Stuttgart, GER, on 17 August.

The GrandSlam Latin, which will be danced on 16 August, is scheduled as a recording from 19:45 to 20:45 UTC/GMT on Eurosport 2 and Eurosport Asia.

Immediately following the one-hour programme, from 20:45 to 21:45 UTC/GMT, Eurosport 2 and Eurosport Asia will broadcast the GrandSlam Standard from the Beethoven Hall in Stuttgart.
