Prior to Dance Accord, the WDSF PD European Championships Latin and Standard were held in Velenje. "Dance reflects the slogan and the symbolism of the European Capital of Culture 2012 well: TURNING POINTS," said Dr Suzana Zilic Fiser, the General Director of the Capital of Culture 2012. "Dance expresses our slogan in the best possible way by turning our thoughts and feelings towards the better understanding of our 'here and now'. And through this perception of the world, the top performers can show us the way to our better tomorrow."
Several other events, such as the Taipei Open in Taiwan and the Chisinau Open in Moldova, were also streamed to this website - and from here to YOU - during October. WDSF salutes the efforts by these organisers to bring their events to a worldwide audience of DanceSport enthusiasts and commits to provide them with active support in their endeavour.
