New DTV President 23/06/2014

Heidi Estler After ten years in office, Franz Allert chose not to stand for reelection to another term as President of the German DanceSport Federation - DTV, by far the largest national organisation in the membership of the World DanceSport Federation.

The delegates to the DTV General Meeting that was held on 21 June recognised the tenure and the achievements of the outgoing President with a standing ovation. They then proceeded to elect Heidi Estler, who had served as a Vice-President under Allert, as his successor. Heidi is the first woman ever to hold this position.

The meeting also elected the following members of the DTV Presidium:

Thomas Wehling, Vice-President; Dr. Tim Rausche, Vice-President; Karl-Peter Befort, Treasurer; Michael Eichert, Sports Director; Birgit von Daake, Education Director; Daniel Reichling, Press Officer; Sandra Bähr, Youth Director; Falk Scheibe-In der Stroth, Dr. Ulrike Weber
